St. Ferdinand is committed to developing young people in accordance with the Gospel message. Scouting is one tool that helps develop children using fun activities to learn their duty to God, their duty to country, and their duty to themselves. St. Ferdinand has been an institutional sponsor of a Girl Scout troop, Boy Scout troop, and Cub Scout pack.
St. Ferdinand is the sponsor of an active troop of the Girl Scouts of America. Girl Scouting is open to all young ladies from kindergarten through high school. In Girl Scouts, a girl can try new things, develop a range of skills, take on leadership roles, and just be themselves. The program features numerous activities ranging from S.T.E.M. activities to outdoor adventures that are designed to help girls develop as leaders.
