St. Ferdinand has a strong sacramental heritage which is the foundation of the parish's mission. Our Christian Initiation programs for both children and adults is active throughout the year and always ready to help prepare newcomers for reception into the faith.
Our RCIA program begins in the late summer and meets weekly until Holy Saturday when the candidates and Catechumens are received into the faith.
Our baptismal preparation course is available for new parents. Those who have already had at least one child baptized and have had the instruction do not need to take the class again. Baptisms take place after the 11am Masses twice a month. Call the parish office for more details or to set up an appointment for the next class.
Children are prepared for First Eucharist at the beginning of the second grade in both the parish school and the PSR programs.
We also offer Christian Initiation for Children who are older than the 2nd grade level and have not yet entered the 8th grade. Those children who wish to convert and become Catholic, or have not received some of the sacraments are able to be prepared in a special program offered in our School. You may contact the school for more details or one of the parish priests. We also offer a unique Confirmation program for our 8th grade students. For more information click the link on the left side. It is a wonderful program that includes service work, formal classroom instruction, various fun activities and includes the family in the development and growth.
We are more than happy to provide further details; please call us at the Parish Office.
